If church gave you belonging and a constant low-grade panic in the same breath.
If you did everything right and still felt something inside you tightening instead of opening.
If you walked away from the building but the alarms never turned off.
You’re not broken. You’re dysregulated.
And the framework you inherited was never built to hold your story.
My name is Ross Charles.
ACEs score 10/10. Raised in pulpits and on casseroles. I spent mostof my life in ministry. Sold and lost everything twice chasing what I thought was God.
Spent years at Microsoft and Amazon fixing the largest systems on earth while the one under my skin stayed stuck in survival mode.
I’m writing the book that connects the dots nobody connected for us:
how early trauma becomes theology,
how survival strategies get renamed sin,
how the body keeps the score long after the last altar call.
The chapters are going out raw, still bleeding, one at a time.
This is the only place you can read them while they’re being written.
The finished book lands 2026/2027 • More about me → rosscharles.net
